new primary care physician

I'm now seen at an Air Force side of  a joint base in Washington state. When my new doc asked if I wanted a referral to nephrology and urology, my exact words were, "Meeeeehhhhh, no that's okay. not now. I know when things are getting bad and I'm okay for now."

How freeing to be able to say that and mean it!
