Movers are coming tomorrow!

Written as “Kidney Girl” on the original Cystinuria Blog · 1 min read

Well, we are finally getting out of here. The second and final wave of movers are coming tomorrow and on Thursday we'll drive off. I just learned that there are tons of Tricare providers in the SF Bay Area (unlike last time I lived there when docs wouldn't touch tricare) so I'm confident I'll find someone to take good care of me.

I feel two small stones bilaterally, but no bad pain at all. I can't believe I haven't been to the OR since December!! I'm so happy!

I do have something else going on though. I've been suffering from 9-10/10 hip pain. I had 2 herniated discs in the past and I'm thinking the hip pain might actually be nerve pain from my back shooting over, because last Thursday I woke up and my right leg from the knee down was numb, except for my foot. I have a last minute MRI in the morning and my doc wants me to call in on Wednesday to get a last-minute reading.

No joke - stuff like this ALWAYS happens a week before a big move. Last time, when we moved from Japan to the US, a week prior I was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy that was initially diagnosed as a mystery stone! So 3 days before I was supposed to fly back home I got put on med-hold and had the operation. At least this time, with this issue, when I'm sitting I'm not in pain, so the drive itself shouldn't be an issue.

I feel like such a train wreck! lol. Today I had a moment. I was in the car, with my cane in the passenger seat, and I was listening to MMM Bop on my CD. I'm too young to be this gimpy!! :P
